Virgin Media Connects Ballina to Other Voices

Ultrafast broadband rocks the town

Virgin Media announced as broadband provider to live stream performances from St. Michael's Church to venues around Ballina during the two day Festival.

The Other Voices Ballina Music Trail will feature more than 35 free gigs taking place in various venues across Ballina over the Other Voices Festival Weekend. The Local Voices Music Trail will feature an exciting and diverse line-up of performers, musicians, bands and DJs, plying their wares across the pubs and venues of Ballina on September 28th and 29th.

Niamh O’Driscoll, Senior Manager of Brand, Marketing and Communications at Virgin Media: “Behind these incredible acts are inspiring stories of hard work, dedication and incredible musicians.  As they prepare for the two day festival, we are honored to bring their friends, family and community closer to each act during Other Voices Ballina Festival , in new and innovative ways using our award winning broadband service.

Tina O’Reilly, Producer of Other Voices, said “We are delighted to partner with Virgin Media, who’s broadband service in Ballina enables us to live stream the St. Michael’s Church performances to big screens in many of the Music Trail venues. Demand for Church tickets far outweighs capacity, so the Virgin Media live streaming means our festival community can pull up a chair, have a pint and enjoy every note from the Church as it happens.”
